Job Duck is a virtual staffing company currently hiring a virtual Accounts Payable Specialist. Employees work from their homes and are matched to a single U.S.-based business. They are granted holidays as per the U.S. holiday calendar, as well as paid annual vacation time (10 days of paid vacation in the 1st year — 5 days after trial and 5 days after six months).
Starting pay is $1,000 US Dollars per month.
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the financial, administrative, and clerical support of a company. They will be in charge of making payments owed by the company to suppliers and other creditors, paying vendor invoices or bills, recording the company’s short-term debts, as well as managing the Company’s credit cards.
Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Managing and reviewing bills.
Generating End-of-the-Month Reports.
Making bank reconciliations at the end of the month using an updated report from the bank.
Generating the Prepaid Expense Report.
Generating payslips five days after payroll at the request of other departments.
Generating the Payslips Report.
Assessing the Finance Department’s financial solvency to make the corresponding daily payments.
Checking the Accounts Payable email account for incoming bills and expenditure requests.
Processing and recording expenditure requests.
Reviewing daily payments.
Making daily payments.
ACH bank transfers.
Managing and keeping a record of prepaid expenses.
Amortizing prepaid expenses as required.
Conducting bank reconciliations.
Comprises all the bills that go through the Accounts Payable Clerk and gives an overview of the total amount of funds spent and the total amount of funds required to cover incoming expenses.
Generating expense reports.
Generating the Accounts Payable Aging Report and reviewing active accounts that require payment.
Keeping track and verifying all payments made with credit cards assigned to the Finance Department and all other departments.
Verifying payments were made and correlating them with the receipts.
Negotiating payment timeline and type of payment with providers.
Keeping records of expenses in Zoho Books.
Assisting Team Members with payment issues and requests.

Medium business knowledge.
Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
1 year of experience with payments, billing, and/or accounts payable.
Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Suite applications.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to analyze large sets of data.
Maintaining confidentiality is essential.
