Hi! I’m Thandeka from sunny Durban, South Africa, and I’m a proud mother to an eight-year-old daughter. Since joining this incredible company, I’ve experienced changes that have not only enriched my professional life but have also positively impacted my personal life in ways I never anticipated.
An Incredible Work Schedule that Fits My Life
One of the most significant changes has been my work schedule. As I work from home in South Africa, my workday starts in the afternoon, giving me plenty of free time in the mornings. I get to take my daughter to school, attend her plays and activities, and still have time for myself.
Speaking about having time for myself, hiking is something new that I have come to love very much. It’s a healthy activity that lets me connect with nature, which I find super relaxing. There’s something about the fresh air and beautiful scenery that helps me stay calm and balanced.
Cherishing Family Moments
If you knew me personally, you would know how fond I am of my family. Thanks to Job Duck, I get to spend quality time with them. We’re constantly creating memories together that I might have otherwise missed. In some sense, I’m speechless about how this job has allowed me to strike such a healthy work-life balance.
Education, Puppy Love, and a Good Book
Another highlight of my journey with Job Duck is that I had the chance to complete a Google certificate in Cybersecurity, as I also have time to study in the morning. I believe you are never too old to continue learning. The world is constantly changing, and one needs to adapt.
Furthermore, I have a four-month-old dog named Beast. He is a Rottweiler. He’s a bundle of energy and keeps me on my toes, but he also brings a lot of joy and companionship.
Alongside my puppy adventures, I enjoy reading books and am currently engrossed in “Only the Dead” by Hamilton Wende.
Exploring New Places
I love the fact that we get paid time off! I am passionate about traveling. I’ve been traveling quite a few times in my city, and I always get surprised that there are places I did not know, even though I was born and bred in Durban. Recently, I had a fantastic trip to Johannesburg, which was an absolute blast.
Gratitude for a Life-Changing Opportunity
Job Duck has changed my life. I never imagined in my wildest dreams that such an opportunity like this would exist. I’m thankful for my wonderful colleagues who quickly resolve any work-related issues I have.
