We are excited to share our brand-new Weekly Tea with Luz from Mexico. In this segment, we invite our virtual assistants from all over the world to share their experience of working from home with Job Duck so far.
In this episode, we meet Luz. She has been working with Job Duck for approximately 2 years now. Luz is the Operations Jr. Director in Job Duck’s internal team. She found out about Job Duck through a friend’s referral.
“I was not sure what it was. I just went for it, and it kind of caught me, all the challenges, the selection process, how dynamic it is. So I decided to give it a try, and 2 years later I am.” – Luz from Mexico
Luz described her experience as a candidate as “intriguing”. She believes that the different challenges that everyone faces during the selection process are very cool, and different from other processes. The whole experience made her think that the job and company were even more interesting.
“If you put things into balance, the selection process is not even hard. It’s just different. This type of job is totally worth it.” – Luz from Mexico
Luz took the time to share some of her favorite things about being able to work from home. The most invaluable thing for her is being able to spend more quality time with her daughter.
“We get to eat together, I get to spend time on my breaks with her. When I’m off, there’s no need to commute because we’re already here together. Quality time is priceless.” – Luz from Mexico
Furthermore, Luz appreciates not having to deal with commuting and saving money on food for lunch. Instead, she preps her meals for the next day every night, which she believes is a healthier option.
