Your first payment will be prorated. On the 15th of each month, Staffers get paid for the pay period that covers from the 16th to the 31st of the previous month. On the 31st day of each month, Staffers receive the pay period that covers from the 1st to the 15th of the month.

E.G. On February 15th Staffers receive the payment for their work from January 16th through January 31st.

Prorated means that if you start on a date that is in the middle of the payroll cycle, your first payment will only cover the days you have worked in that payroll cycle.

Your first payment will only include the days that you have worked from your start date till the end of the payroll cycle period. 

E.G. If you start on the 5th of the month. Your first payment will include the days you have worked from the 5th to the 15th of the month, and you will receive the salary on the last day of the following month. 

 If payday falls on a holiday in your country, we will send out a notification before that time to advise when we will send out the payment.

As of the moment, PayPal is the only payment method that has worked to process payroll. Therefore, we only use PayPal to send payments.

Yes, staffers will have to work on their countries’ national holidays. If you’d like to enjoy a holiday you will have to request a vacation day.

We pay national holidays double the daily rate for every country. For Mexican staffers, it is triple the daily rate.

You will need to confirm with your employer on which US holidays the offices will be closed.

Yes. You will have to work according to the employer’s office hours.

You can take the number of vacation days that you accrued at the time of requesting them.

You are allowed to take 10 vacation days each year as long as you request them with at least 30 days’ notice.

Only the first year’s vacation days can be accumulated.

The vacation days expire on the date you accrue new ones, that is on your trial period anniversary date.

You have 5 sick-paid days per year, as long as you send a doctor’s note to your liaison.

Staffers can ask for unpaid leave in case of emergency with the client´s approval.

You will need to send this report with a compilation of your weekly activities every Friday to your client and to your Staffer Happiness Liaison. You will need to fill out the report on the Excel Spreadsheet that your Staffer Happiness Liaison will send to you.

No. The end-of-day report has to be sent daily or weekly.

You have to report all the tasks you worked on during the week.

No, if you have the day off you don’t have to send an end-of-day report.

Yes. We review raises after the staffers have reached 15 months of working with GSU.

We give bonuses upon performance, each employer decides if they will reward their staffers with bonuses and when.

Overtime (Defined as working more than 40 hours in a week. i.e. Monday through Sunday) is strictly prohibited as stated in the GSU handbook.

Your employer is the only one who can determine your work schedule.

Yes, it is allowed, however, you will have to inform GSU beforehand so we can let you know about the requirements you will have to meet in order to work from a different country.

Since GSU is your direct employer, we recommend putting GSU. If you require further assistance, please contact your Staffer Happiness Liaison.

Yes, staffers can refer somebody by clicking HERE and following the instructions.

Yes, after your referral completes the 90 days trial period, you will receive a 200$ bonus.

There are no limits, but you must know the person you refer.

Yes. We use Time Doctor to track your productive hours.

You will need to contact your Staffer Happiness Liaison so that they can assist you as soon as possible.

Your 1-hour lunch is included in your work schedule.

You must have a minimum of 7.30 hrs registered per day. A total of 37.5/40 hours by the end of the week.

You will need to provide a reason with proof (A screenshot of emails sent or a task performed during the missing hours) as to why you have not tracked the hours, so we add the report to our system.

You are entitled to a 1-hour lunch break and two 15 minutes breaks, one break in the morning and one in the afternoon. However, this depends on the employer’s schedule, so this is determined by the employer.

If you have the day off, you will need to inform your Staffer Happiness Liaison and they will make a note of it for your Time Doctor report.

You will need to log out, change your password, and then reopen the app.

No, you should not track your time when you are out of the office. Just make sure to notify your liaison about the day off beforehand.
