OUR STORY

A hot afternoon. A buzzing café. A frustrated attorney sits at a corner table, stirring his coffee absentmindedly. He knows that to grow his law firm, he needs help. But finding the right support has been a challenge. Traditional hiring methods aren’t solving the problem, and the right candidate always seems just out of reach. He’s buried in billing, drowning in emails, and falling behind on client calls. Work never stops, and there’s never enough time.

Across the café, a familiar face waved him over—an old friend, a fellow attorney. As they sat down, the conversation turned to business, to the endless struggle of keeping up with administrative work. That’s when his friend shared something unexpected.

“I hired a virtual assistant from Mexico. She’s incredible. Speaks perfect English, has an amazing work ethic, and works from home. She’s happier, and most importantly, I’m more productive.”

That conversation changed everything.

These two attorneys, attorneys facing the same hiring struggles, saw the potential. What started as a search for better support turned into something bigger: an opportunity to connect businesses with college-educated, bilingual professionals who excel in remote work. Attorneys were no longer just getting help—they were gaining skilled, dedicated team members who produced incredible work and became essential to their firms.

What began as an idea quickly became a passion—and that passion became Job Duck.

From that buzzing café conversation grew a company that would change the lives of thousands. Today, Job Duck is more than a staffing company. It’s a lifestyle. Why a Duck?

Did you know when we started way back in July 2018, we had a different name? It’s true!

Our name “Job Duck” didn’t surface until March 2020. It was inspired by a mnemonic challenge designed to reinforce our core values. Initially, our co-founders wanted a mnemonic for our five core values, and a team member creatively organized them as “Amazing Blue Colored Ducks Everywhere.” The idea was fun, comical, a true representation of our co-founders’ spirit. So much so it led to blue duck prints decorating their home-office walls.
 

A few months later we rebranded, and our co-founders drew inspiration from these blue ducks, and “Job Duck” was officially hatched.

Ducks symbolize adaptability, teamwork, and persistence — qualities we embody in our daily work.
