Hi! I’m Erika, excited to share my story beyond the desk. Although I was born in Venezuela, my best friends and I—a big group of nerds—decided to migrate to Buenos Aires, Argentina, seven years ago. While living in this beautiful city, I started working from home with Job Duck, and this is where my life drastically changed in every positive way. Here’s why:
Baking and True Crime: My Way to Relax
I have always found baking to be a therapeutic activity. Unfortunately, in the past, I missed the opportunity to bake as I was often overwhelmed with work duties. These days, not only do I find the time to bake, but I also get to experiment with new recipes and flavors.
Moreover, I enjoy baking for my friends, which is a fun challenge. To all the bakers out there, trying something new and getting it right is just so rewarding, isn’t it? Besides baking, I’m a huge fan of watching movies and binge-watching new TV series, particularly true crime documentaries.
Fun Times with Friends
Outside my therapeutic activities, my friends and I always find ways to have fun together. We love playing board games, visiting new cafes or bars, and attending concerts or music festivals.
Music has always been a big part of my life, and I’ve been lucky enough to see almost all my favorite artists live.
One of my greatest memories was getting caught on camera at Lollapalooza last year.
It was an unforgettable experience!
Heartwarming Moments at Home
I like to slow down and focus on my family on weekends or days off. I have a 13-year-old daughter, and we love spending time together. We do everything from watching movies and chatting about our week to simply relaxing together.
Furthermore, our four Chihuahuas are a big part of our lives, so we enjoy playing with them and having them around. It is the best way to relax and appreciate the little things in life.
Such moments are the brightest part of my weekends, and I wouldn’t trade them for the world!
Finding Work-Life Balance
Since joining Job Duck, I’m grateful for the balance I’ve achieved between my work and personal life.
It’s allowed me to be present for my daughter and deeply involved in her growth while still managing my professional responsibilities. This balance has made a huge difference in my life.

It has been a great pleasure to work with this amazing company. I’ve always felt valued by Job Duck, and the company culture supports my growth in both my career and personal life.
Moreover, I invited three colleagues from Mexico and Honduras to my house in Argentina. It is impossible to explain the feeling of being able to meet some of the people I work with in person. In all honesty, we have created some of the most beautiful memories together.
