Hey everyone! I’m Tish from Colombia, a Duck Trainer here at Job Duck. Today, I am excited to share my life beyond the desk. I hope you enjoy the read!
My Journey of Music and Work Balance
When I’m not busy training, you’ll probably find me lost in my true love: making music. Music has always been a huge part of my life, and I’m excited to give you a peek into my journey and how I balance it with my work.
I’ve been into music for as long as I can remember. I started writing my own songs when I was around 9 or 10, and it quickly became more than just a hobby—it turned into a way for me to express myself and dive into a creative world.
Music isn’t just a pastime; it’s a core part of who I am. The journey’s been a mix of challenges and victories, and I’m constantly inspired by the process of creating and perfecting my sound.
How I Spend My Weekends
My weekends and evenings are usually all about music. Whether I’m crafting new lyrics, experimenting with sounds, or just jamming on my guitar, these moments are precious to me—they let me get deep into my creative zone.
I also love soaking up inspiration from documentaries and other artists’ music.
Sometimes meeting new people or taking a stroll can spark fresh ideas and give me a new perspective. Balancing work with my music is all about harmony. Occasionally, my teammates and the candidates I meet inspire me too. Every person I cross paths with brings something unique that lights up my creativity.
Finding Inspiration at Home and Through My Team
I mostly find inspiration within myself. My home is my little creative haven where I dive into my thoughts and feelings to create music that truly resonates.
Plus, my teammates are a huge source of inspiration. They’re fascinating, deep, and wonderful people whose stories and perspectives add so much to my own creative process. While I’m working on getting out more and exploring, my current environment and the amazing people I interact with keep the creativity flowing.
Work-Life Balance
Finding a good work-life balance is super important for thriving in both my professional and personal life. I’m really thankful for the flexibility and support at Job Duck, which allows me to dive into my music while excelling in my role as a Duck Trainer. Managing my job and music involves some careful planning and setting clear boundaries. I make sure to carve out time specifically for creating music, so my job and my passion can go hand in hand.
One of the best parts of this balance is sharing my music with my fantastic team. I’ve had the chance to play my new tracks for them during meetings and get their feedback, which is always so encouraging. They’ve become more than just colleagues—they’re close friends who inspire and support me. This kind of support makes it easier to stay on top of my work while keeping my creative spark alive. The mix of professional support and personal connections helps me shine in both my job and my music.
