In a Galaxy not too far away, millions of incredible candidates who sense the force are waiting to become Jedi Knights or, as we call them, at Job Duck, VIRTUAL ASSISTANTS! Happy Star Wars Day! At Job Duck, we decided to twist it and talk about the similarities between Star Wars and Job Duck. Please, enjoy: “May The Force Be With You: Work As A Virtual Assistant.”
Here is some music from the movies to get in the Star Wars day mood:
We may have all watched the movies at the very least once. Nevertheless, have you thought about starting an adventure of your own? If you sense the force, you must be aware that you must pass several tests to become a Jedi Knight. Accordingly, we have defined roles within our organization similar to those in Star Wars:
Once you decide to start your adventure, make sure you have what it takes. Otherwise, make it a duty to work on becoming the best version of yourself. Remember that we must learn patience and share our knowledge. For this reason, we want to share some moments throughout the movies where we witnessed our core values.
Attack your Day
During council meetings, Jedis announce the latest news from in and around the galaxy and discuss what can be done to promote peace. Just like in job Duck, they are preparing themselves mentally and physically to conquer the day.
Be incredible
Luke never settled for mediocrity. He was constantly looking for adventures and knew he had a bright future. Consequently, he decided to pursue it with the help of Obi-Wan.
Complete the job
We all remember this phrase: “Luke, I am your father.” This phrase takes place in the battle where Luke loses to Darth Vader. Despite losing one hand, Luke finishes his training and becomes a Jedi Knight.
Dream Big
It does not matter if you are human or an Ewok; you hold greatness within you. Even if you do not get to be a Jedi, you can still do great things. Think about Chewbacca and Han Solo. In other words, point to the stars and work hard to make your dreams come true.
“Do or do not… there is no try.“
Yoda.
Excuse free attitude
In the eighth movie of Star Wars, which is not to the liking of everyone, this core value is emphasized. Mistakes are natural and inevitable. The only way to avoid mistakes is by doing absolutely nothing. Instead of giving up trying, accept your mistakes and fix them or learn.
Today is a great day to watch all the movies which, by the way, are available on Disney plus. However, it is also a great day to start your adventure! If we have learned something from the masterpiece created by George Lucas, it is that: The force is in anyone, and we should all stay away from the dark side. Let us know your thoughts on this blog entry: “May The Force Be With You: Work As A Virtual Assistant.”
Finally, don’t forget to share this post, write about your favorite Star Wars scenes in the comments, and start your adventure today! Work as a virtual assistant, and the force will be with you!

hahaha good comparisons! Excellent post! However, as a wanna-be mkt assistant, a sentence caught my attention: “The only way to avoid mistakes is by doing absolutely nothing”. Why wouldn’t you do something? I think you should do a lot of things in order to avoid making or repeating mistakes (Yoda or Obi Wan would teach this to a young padawan, Luke).
I cannot pick some scenes from the nine (or eleven) movies. I love them all, but to be really honest, my favourites are episodes IV, V and VI.
We are happy you enjoyed both the comparisons and the post! To answer what we meant with that sentence, let’s imagine you want to play the guitar. However, since you are afraid of making a mistake or not being good at it, you decide not to try. In this case, since you never tried, you never made a mistake. On the other hand, if you start learning, you’ll likely make mistakes, especially at the beginning, until you get the hang of it. We agree with Obi-Wan on that! 😀
Yes, the first movies are phenomenal! We don’t have a favorite scene either, but since the scene from episode V where Darth Vader tells Luke, “I’m your father” is epic, we added it to the post!
