Every two weeks, we will be uploading a new episode of Weekly Tea! Where we interview some of our Virtual Assistants in Latin America to share their experiences working from home for a United States-based business with you. You can watch our show on our YouTube Channel, our Facebook Fan Page, or on our Instagram TV. Here you can read and watch more of our Weekly Teas!
Alessandra from Honduras
Our fifth Weekly Tea! was with Alessandra from Honduras. She works as an Administrative Assistant for a law firm based in Chicago, Illinois. Some of her daily tasks include social media management, appointment scheduling, and answering phones. She loves working remotely and having more time for herself by not having to commute. She encourages all of her friends to apply for Job Duck.
Glieb from Mexico City
Our sixth guest was Glieb from Mexico City. He works as a Marketing Assistant for a law firm based in Cary, North Carolina. Some of his daily tasks include social media management, content creation, copywriting, and sending newsletters to the firm’s clients.
He was looking for a job on his University website and stumbled upon one of our career opportunities and decided to apply. He loves working for a U.S.-based business because he is able to practice his English proficiency, and he loves working from home because he spends more time with his pets.
Emma from Honduras
Our seventh guest was Emma from Honduras. She works as a Marketing Assistant for a law firm based in Edison, New Jersey. Also, she is a very proud mom of a three-year-old, so she enjoys being able to work from home and take care of her son.
Some of her daily tasks include planning strategies for social media marketing and email marketing, social media content creation, and copywriting. Furthermore, she has learned so much from her team: organization, new marketing tools, and always giving her best, among other things. She finds this career opportunity to be really fun, and she has found the perfect work-life balance.
Jose from Mexico
Lastly, we had Jose from Mexico. He works as a Legal Assistant for a law firm based in Coral Gables, Florida. Some of the tasks he is in charge of are: customer service, answering phones, and managing the lawyers’ calendars. He had experience working remotely, but this was his first time doing it full-time.
Jose considers that he has reached a work-life balance. He can balance his job responsibilities with his duties at home. He is able to take care of her daughter and help her with her homeschool activities, and help his wife with chores.
