August 19th: World Photography Day
‘Picture yourself.’
Sometimes a special moment captured on camera can inspire millions of people and generations to follow. A family photo can take you back to the past and let you relive some of the best memories you have. A picture can let you think of who you were and what you became. On August 19th, we celebrate Photography Day. A celebration of the art and history of photography. Think about your goals and especially the career you want. Have you achieved it yet? If not, I want you to ‘picture yourself’ with your dream job.
Capture your continuous improvement.
For decades people have been miserable at work. Maybe it’s the long queue of traffic that swallows them and wastes their precious time. Some hate the idea of being face-to-face with a colleague. Life might not have turned out the way you, as a kid on the portrait on the wall, wanted.
But hold on, there is good news for you! You still have plenty of time to turn it around. Adopt an attitude for continuous improvement. Picture yourself with your dream job, set your goals, and make them happen. Fulfill yourself with maximum results! Look at the picture on the wall and tell that kid: We made it!
The world can take countless pictures of me.
All of us are like a clock that will eventually stop working. We should realize that our time will run out, and we won’t live forever. We should make every second count, as every second that passes by is a moment that we’ll never have again.
The person in the mirror won’t look like the same person in a photo from fifteen years back. Did you grow mentally as you did physically? While your clock is still running, can the world count on you?
Take a selfie on top of the highest mountain.
Now that you have an idea of where you see yourself in the future, you should take a moment to let it sink in. There’s a quote by Gabriel Iglesias that says: “Anything is possible as long as you’re focused, determined, and you want to do it.”
Stand on the highest mountain, see the beauty of the world, and take a selfie with the brightest smile. Tomorrow is far away when there’s a lot to do today!
Live your dream.
Your dream job should be a place where you can grow, have moments of inspiration, test your limits, and have the joy of every single result you produce! Remember that consistency and hard work can bring you anywhere.
