We are excited to share our brand-new Weekly Tea with Charmaine from South Africa. In this segment, we invite Job Duck virtual assistants from all over the world to tell us what it’s like to work from home with Job Duck.
In this episode, we meet Charmaine. She considers herself a very detail-oriented person, a crucial characteristic of all of our team members. Charmaine learned about Job Duck from her sister after seeing an advertisement on social media. She took a leap of faith and applied. Now, Charmaine is a virtual administrative assistant for a U.S.-based law firm in New York. Charmaine answered only positive thoughts when Alina asked her about her work experience thus far.
“I’ve had an amazing experience so far! They’re absolutely amazing, an awesome team of people.” – Charmaine from South Africa.
Charmaine finds it surprising that she can work alongside her colleagues in the U.S. while she is in South Africa. It’s like working together in the same place.
Charmaine’s everyday responsibilities include the majority of reception duties. She answers and transfers calls with her employer based in the U.S., makes digital filing, and schedules appointments. Her favorite part of working with Job Duck is that she can do all her duties from home.
“I love working from home because it keeps me grounded. I’m not stressed out. I can work at my own pace. I get a lot more done, which is nice. Being here near the family also does help. You don’t have to travel, so you stay safe. It’s a lot easier, I think.” – Charmaine from South Africa
