You might’ve seen us in a job ad, or maybe you heard about us from a friend. Whichever way, we are happy that you found us! As you may know, we are a recruitment agency that helps incredible people build amazing careers working from home for businesses based in the United States. One of the seven career growth opportunities we offer is the Virtual Marketing Assistant role.
We wanted to take this opportunity to go in-depth about the role and responsibilities of a Marketing Assistant.
Let’s talk about What It’s Really Like Being a Virtual Marketing Assistant With Us:
A Virtual Marketing Assistant is a trained professional who works remotely in the marketing department to provide clerical and project management support. The great thing about working with us is that you are working from home! You don’t have to commute, spend extra money on gas, or worry that you might be late for work due to high traffic.
What’s more, our staffers work forty hours a week with two fifteen-minute breaks and a one-hour lunch break every day. Our staffer’s health is extremely important to us. That’s why we highly encourage everyone to stretch between their breaks to recharge and be fully focused again. (Follow us on Tik-Tok for excellent stretching tips).
We also work on Eastern Standard Time, as our employers are from the United States. Nevertheless, the working schedule might vary depending on the employer.
Communication between Marketing Assistants and employers is quite easy in this day and age. Therefore, our Marketing Assistants primarily use Zoom or phone calls, whichever way the employer prefers. That’s why all our Marketing Assistants have a personal computer/laptop, a headset, and a good internet speed (download speed: 10Mbps, upload speed: 5Mbps). Furthermore, all of the equipment must be reliable and updated. Our Marketing Assistants also communicate with the company’s employers/ potential employers through social media by interacting with them in a polite, educated manner and putting them at ease. Our staffers also have strong grammar and writing skills in English.
Daily tasks and responsibilities
Our Marketing Assistants come up with solutions and think on their feet. They help plan and put in place the marketing and advertising activities of a company by planning events, writing copy, posting on social media, and keeping the company visible and connected to employers and prospects. We encourage potential candidates to apply, especially if they are comfortable with various social media platforms and with the mindset of someone who loves marketing. The more experience you have in the marketing field, the better!
