Sharing is caring!
In this week’s Weekly Tea, we meet Neri from Mexico. She shares how she discovered Job Duck, her experience working with a U.S.-based team, and the advice she would give to anyone applying. Enjoy the read!
How It All Started
Neri first heard about Job Duck through LinkedIn. She was looking for new career opportunities when a post from the company appeared in her feed and caught her attention. Soon after, she applied, and that’s where her story began.
Working as a Legal Assistant
Neri works as a Legal Assistant for a personal injury law firm in the U.S. The firm is close-knit, and her role keeps her in constant contact with clients. She provides updates on their cases, requests medical records and bills, and follows up to make sure everything is organized on time.
One of her most important tasks is preparing the damage summary. It’s a document that lists every medical facility a client visited for treatment after an accident. The attorney uses it at the end of the case to present the total amount the client spent because of their injuries.
Besides that, Neri answers and makes phone calls, helps with insurance matters, and supports the paralegal team on litigation cases.
Her Advice for Applicants
When asked what advice she would give to anyone applying through Job Duck, Neri said one thing: be patient. She understands how it feels to wait for updates during the application process. However, she believes that patience is worth it because the right opportunity takes time.
Adjusting to a New Environment
Although Neri had worked with U.S. firms before, her current position felt different. The team is smaller, which means everyone receives more direct attention. At first, that took some getting used to, especially because the firm was going through changes when she joined.
Over time, she adjusted and found her rhythm. The team now works smoothly together, and she enjoys the level of trust that comes from working in a tight group.
Working with Job Duck
When talking about Job Duck, Neri’s appreciation is clear. “I’m very happy to be working with Job Duck,” she said. “Even when work gets stressful, I remind myself how grateful I am to be part of this agency.”
For her, Job Duck is a company that cares about how people feel, not only about the results they produce. “You don’t just think about our jobs,” she said. “You care that we’re comfortable, happy, and doing okay.”
