Sharing is caring!
When Carmen joined our company, her first impression was that “Job Duck is a breath of fresh air.” However, there is even more to her experience working with us.
In this Weekly Tea blog, you’ll meet Carmen from South Africa as she talks about her role, life outside of work, and more. Enjoy the read!
Meet Carmen
Carmen is a remote professional working with one of our U.S.-based employers in a marketing-focused role. Her day-to-day mostly revolves around managing social media accounts and drafting and posting content. Additionally, she handles website updates, runs Google Ads, and manages intake and lead qualification calls.
Carmen’s Experience Working with Job Duck
Before joining our team, Carmen had already spent seven years in marketing. Although she has extensive experience in the field, working remotely with a U.S.-based company was a first for her.
As a result, Carmen knew there would be an adjustment, but while learning the ropes, she was blown away by how much the team shows up for one another. She feels that her colleagues are always willing to support her through challenging tasks while also celebrating her wins and milestones.
As the Weekly Tea interview continued, Carmen decided to elaborate on this topic. She explained that she once had a challenging task: building the firm’s lead magnet campaign. This was her first real challenge and something she had never done before.
Despite the pressure, she had a lot of support from her manager throughout the process. Knowing that her team had her back, Carmen felt much more confident. In the end, it was a big success, and her manager was really impressed with how it turned out.
Life Beyond Work
During this interview, we learned about Carmen’s positive experience working with Job Duck. But what about life outside of work? Does she have a work-life balance?
“Absolutely,” Carmen said. “I have time to work out, prepare meals, and spend quality time with my family. It was harder to manage before I worked with Job Duck.”
