Sharing is caring!
Facing something unfamiliar can have two outcomes: it can hold people back, or it can motivate them to explore and try something new. In this case, Maria chose the latter. From making friends to finding work-life balance, this is Maria from Argentina’s testimonial on what it’s really like to work with Job Duck. Enjoy the read!
Meet Maria
Maria is a Job Duck team member based in Argentina. She works remotely with one of our employers at a law firm in the U.S. As a legal assistant, her tasks include managing emails, requesting medical records and bills, and keeping clients updated on their cases.
From Office to Remote Work
During the Weekly Tea interview, Maria revealed that she has experience as a legal assistant but had never worked remotely before. Although she was stressed at first, Maria admitted that “it was the best decision I have ever made.”
One of the main reasons she enjoys working remotely with an international company is the friendships she has built. “Now I have friends from all over the world,” she says. They mostly communicate via email, but occasionally meet up for video calls.
She doesn’t feel a distance between herself and her colleagues, but at the same time, she has her own space to focus on completing her work. Every professional deserves to work in a healthy and uplifting environment. Maria found that with Job Duck.
Do You Have a Work-Life Balance?
“Yes, I do. I really enjoy not having to commute to work,” Maria answered. According to her, she does not waste that time travelling and can rather focus on her hobbies, such as swimming. Furthermore, she states that she enjoys having lunch at home, and she finds it very fulfilling to be closer to her son, family, and pets.
