Meet Javier
Javier works remotely as a Marketing Assistant with one of our U.S.-based employers, where he supports his team with digital marketing efforts. These include social media posts, as well as content for the website and blog.
In his day-to-day work, he reviews engagement and interactions with their content. He also keeps an eye on the community, current trends, and how their content performs across both social media and blog posts.
Additionally, Javier supports other marketing-related projects. For instance, he assists with the newsletter and occasionally helps with ongoing communications and emails sent to clients or potential new clients.
What Javier Likes About His Role and Team
For Javier, one of the most interesting parts of the role is the opportunity to engage with the community and understand what drives people to interact with content.
Moreover, the work often requires staying on top of things because there is a sense of immediacy in what the team is doing. However, he feels that both the planning and execution with the team have been very smooth and well-organized.
Javier mentioned that he values the clear planning and direction that the team has when working toward their goals.
From Screen to Sunset
Outside of work, Javier enjoys activities that help him relax. One of his favorite things to do is walk around town after logging off from his computer in the evening.
During these walks, he sometimes gets to see a beautiful sunset. If he decides to walk a bit longer, he can reach a nearby path that leads toward the beach. From there, he enjoys watching the sunset by the water and taking in the view.
Advice to His Younger Self
When asked whether he would recommend applying to Job Duck, Javier says he would absolutely recommend it without hesitation. In his view, it has been one of the best decisions he has made.
Not only has it allowed him to work remotely, but it has also allowed him to continue developing his skills and growing in his career. Furthermore, the role offers the opportunity to connect with people from diverse parts of the world.
If he could advise his younger self, Javier says he would encourage greater confidence. In other words, he would remind himself to focus on the positive outcome and trust that applying for opportunities like this can lead to something good.
