We are excited to share our brand-new Weekly Tea with Alejandro from Colombia. In this segment, we invite Job Duck virtual assistants to tell us what it’s like to work from home with Job Duck.
In this episode, we meet Alejandro, who works remotely from Colombia. He was referred to Job Duck by a close friend. Alejandro said it was a professional application process where he received support from the Job Duck team. Alejandro emphasized every skill he learned during Duck University, which is the fourth stage of the process, was very helpful when he got hired and now on his day-to-day tasks as well.
Working as a Virtual Assistant
After successfully completing the application process, Alejandro became a Virtual Marketing Assistant for a U.S.-based law firm. His daily tasks are coordinating everything related to the firm’s social media content. This includes posting blog articles, graphic designing, and scheduling posts. He’s also in charge of preparing and sending email marketing and managing their website and its SEO.
“I’ve been learning a lot, to be honest. When you work for a U.S. company, you’re facing the latest trends and the latest technologies in the market, especially in this industry.” – Alejandro from Colombia
Alejandro took the opportunity to talk about his overall experience with his boss and coworkers in the U.S.-based law firm. He mentioned that the adaptation to the new goals has been achieved thanks to the constant support they give each other and the teamwork culture they follow.
“We’re a solid team! At first, it’s always a challenge to get into the whole mood of the company and to understand the goals and set new goals, but so far, it has been a great experience!” – Alejandro from Colombia
Before the interview ended, Alejandro encouraged everyone to apply for the full-time remote jobs offered by Job Duck. He assured the experience of working with a U.S.-based firm from home was absolutely worth it.
