Due to long and stressful commutes, Angelica, who lives in Honduras, was looking for a job that could make her life a little easier. Her wish came true after she found an opportunity as an Intake Receptionist working remotely with Job Duck. Let’s take a closer look at how she made it happen.
Meet Angelica
Angelica fell in love with remote work while employed in a hybrid role. She would spend some days in the office and others comfortably working from home. This setup made her feel at ease, as she didn’t have to deal with Honduras’s busy and somewhat stressful traffic.
Eventually, she decided to research remote work opportunities. Not long into the process, a family member working with Job Duck told her about the roles we offer. Angelica was impressed by the positive feedback, which eventually led her to apply.
She carefully followed the instructions during the application process and had the necessary skills and experience for the Intake Receptionist role. These all counted in her favor as we ultimately matched her with one of our U.S.-based clients.
As an Intake Receptionist, Angelica answers emails, coordinates meetings, and handles the intake process for potential clients. She also manages and schedules calendars, follows up with leads, and performs administrative duties.

Her Overall Experience
As the Weekly Tea interview continued, the host asked Angelica about her overall experience with Job Duck. “It has been incredible,” Angelica replied. It began with the application process, which she found well-organized and marked by clear communication.
She also praised the firm she currently works with, expressing her gratitude for being part of a healthy environment. Angelica mentioned that even though it’s a real job, she finds it less stressful due to the unwavering support from her team.

What About Her Work-Life Balance?
As mentioned earlier, Angelica felt more relaxed working in a hybrid role, especially during her remote work schedule. However, even more positive changes have come her way since joining Job Duck. For instance, she found a healthy balance between work and personal life.
“I just love the balance this job has given me.” – Angelica.
She now spends quality time with her loved ones, visits friends more often, and enjoys hobbies such as going to the gym. Angelica couldn’t be happier to have found more time for her interests. Back at the desk, she enjoys the company of her two dogs, which she playfully calls her in-person “colleagues.”
