We are excited to share our brand-new Weekly Tea with Carmen from Mexico. In this segment, we invite Job Duck virtual assistants to tell us what it’s like to work from home with Job Duck.
In this episode, we meet Carmen, who works remotely from Mexico. Carmen already had experience working remotely, and she was ready for a new career opportunity from home. When she found out about Job Duck, she immediately decided to apply. After being unsuccessful the first time, she decided to reapply using a different email address, which is the only way to apply again.
Working as a Virtual Assistant
After successfully completing the application process, Carmen became the Virtual Administrative Assistant of a U.S.-based firm. She’s currently assisting in the Intake department of the firm. Some of her daily tasks include taking information from potential clients (contact information), receiving their documents, and processing them for the attorneys to review. She’s also in charge of making phone calls and responding to emails from said clients.
Carmen mentioned that she’s having a very positive experience with her coworkers and boss. According to her, the work environment with her U.S. team is supportive and nurturing.
“My teammates and my boss are amazing! You’re from home, but at the same time, you can feel them close. It has been great! My coworkers and my boss are very sweet people.” – Carmen from Mexico.
During the interview, Carmen assured she’s been able to reach a work-life balance, which is something that Job Duck prioritizes. By providing fixed schedules and a time limit, Job Duck allows every virtual assistant to have time for their favorite hobbies and spend time with their loved ones.
“I have a fixed schedule, so I can do other things on another schedule. I like to knit, and I’m also rehearsing for a musical theater show. I have time for that, and I haven’t missed a day. I can do what I like: dance, sing, act, and knit. So, I absolutely love that part of this job!” – Carmen from Mexico.
