We are excited to share our brand-new Weekly Tea with Carolina from Colombia. In this segment, we invite Job Duck virtual assistants to tell us what it’s like to work from home with Job Duck.
In this episode, we meet Carolina, who works remotely from Colombia. Carolina was looking for a remote job to accommodate her family’s plans. That’s when she found out about Job Duck on Instagram. After reading the job description and researching about the company, Carolina decided to apply. She described Job Duck’s application process to be very well set. Carolina is convinced this process allows the candidates to grow both professionally and personally.
“I have to be very honest. This is the first one (application process) in all the time that I was searching for jobs that felt so professional!” – Carolina from Colombia.
Working as a Virtual Assistant
After completing the application process successfully, Carolina became a Virtual Case Manager for a U.S.-based law firm. Her daily tasks include helping customers go through the processes they need to go through all the time. This includes answering the phone, replying to emails, managing agendas, and attending meetings. Carolina insists that the key ability for the position is to pay attention to detail.
As for her work experience, Carolina shared that she enjoys the multicultural environment. She not only has coworkers in the U.S. but also there are other Job Duck Virtual Assistants working with the same team that are from other countries, such as Argentina and Mexico.
“You are working in a worldwide environment, and it’s very nice. People are super warm, relaxed, helpful, and respectful. It’s an amazing experience, especially because you learn from everybody. Also, you get to practice your English.” – Carolina from Colombia.
