We are excited to share our brand-new Weekly Tea with Elizza from the Philippines. In this segment, we invite Job Duck virtual assistants from all over the world to tell us what it’s like to work from home with Job Duck.
In this episode, we meet Elizza. She’s the head zookeeper for the Job Duck’s internal HR team and a super mom too! In this special Mother’s Day edition of the Weekly Tea series, Elizza shares her experiences working with Job Duck and rocking the mom’s life simultaneously.
Elizza was initially hesitant during the application process because she wasn’t sure if she would be able to work without compromising quality time with her 7-month-old baby. However, she continued to push through the process, and now she believes it was the best decision she ever made.
“I never thought I would be able to find a company that would help me continue my career goals and still be able to attend to my child’s needs as a mother and, of course, as a wife. A few of her daily responsibilities include attending daily huddles, organizing virtual events, and updating Job Duck’s company policies. Elizza mentioned that she had created a special bond and connection with her teammates. She assured that they’ve become friends more than coworkers.
“I’m happy with my team recognizing that I’m a mom. Sometimes we’re on a call, and I need to breastfeed. I just turn off my camera and let my teammates know that I’m still listening. That’s one of the things I really love about my team, and especially about Job Duck.” – Elizza from the Philippines
