We are excited to share our brand-new Weekly Tea with Sonia from Honduras. In this segment, we invite Job Duck virtual assistants to tell us what it’s like to work from home with Job Duck.
In this episode, we meet Sonia, who works remotely from Honduras. Sonia was looking for a full-time job offer via LinkedIn, when she came up with one of Job Duck’s career opportunities. In the beginning, she was hesitant, but as she learned more about Job Duck, she decided to apply. We highly encourage all of our candidates to do in-depth research about our company before you start applying, to make sure you’ll be committed to the process.
“I started doing my research, and reading reviews. I liked what I read and what I saw, so I started the process of applying.” – Sonia from Honduras
Working as a Virtual Assistant
After successfully completing the application process, Sonia became a Virtual Administrative Assistant of a U.S.-based law firm. She is the first point of contact with the firm’s clients. If it’s a potential lead, Sonia listens to their cases, makes notes, and adds them to the firm’s database. Also, Sonia assists the law firm by reviewing each case and helping them decide whether it is a case they can take on. She is also in charge of scheduling meetings with the clients and attorneys.
Sonia was glad to share a little bit about her experience so far. She gave nothing but positive feedback about her experience working with the U.S.-based law firm she was matched with. Sonia even mentioned that this career opportunity has given her the chance to continue learning and growing professionally.
“This is the first time that I work in the law field, but since I graduated from Business Administration and it’s a wide career, I can take several paths. I never thought I’d like the law part, but I’m loving it! I’m very happy. I’m learning so much and I’m developing professionally, which is something I was looking for in a job.” – Sonia from Honduras
