Hello, my name is Morne, and I’m Job Duck’s South African brand ambassador. You might have seen me during a Live Session or two. I enjoy answering the questions you have regarding our company, but in this blog, I would like to open up to you and tell you my story. I want to share with you why I can’t help falling in love [with my job]:
It’s Great for My Mental Health
I used to work in an office quite far from home. I remember driving on those extremely busy and somewhat dangerous roads. It was never pleasant. Furthermore, while bringing extra work home, I had to deal with a lot of office noise. All of these factors, and more, caused a lot of stress in my personal life.
When I started working with Job Duck, the missing pieces of my puzzle came together. I found them one by one. Today, that work of art is hanging on my wall. All I see are rainbows and sunshine.
Since I don’t have to deal with heavy traffic, work after hours, or deal with a lot of noise at work, I’ve noticed a big improvement in my mental health. I have more time on my hands, and I don’t feel burned out. I get to spend more time on my hobbies and with my loved ones.
Speaking about loved ones, the pride I saw in my family’s eyes when I told them that I work for a well-respected international company was priceless. It’s moments like these that make you feel worthy. I’ve already experienced many joys at Job Duck and in my personal space, which I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.
Be Part of Something Big
Since I started working with Job Duck, I immediately saw an almost inexplicable, positive, and uplifting work environment. Being part of something so incredible made me realize that I’m not just a number. I’m actually part of something greater.
Whenever my weekend or holidays come to an end, I wake up with a smile, knowing that I’m about to clock in at a company that truly cares about me as a person.

Professional and Personal Growth

Working with extremely talented individuals allowed me to learn much more about my role and marketing in general. There’s always someone willing to assist you if you get stuck.
The experience of working from home with individuals abroad gave me the opportunity to view life from their point of view. Every day, I learn something new, which I implement in my personal life. The end result has been extraordinary. There’s always something to be grateful for.
Saving Money
I can’t explain how much money I spent when I worked in an office. Commuting, takeout and car maintenance were at the top of my list of expenses. Trust me; there are even more on my list. How much time do you have?
By avoiding these expenses, I have been able to save money for things I enjoy.
For instance, I can save up money for a vacation. I can finally travel to places I have only seen on YouTube videos. Every now and then, I can treat my loved ones with a special gift, and I can practice self-care more easily.
Working from Home
As you may know, we help incredible people build amazing careers working from home for a United States-based business. Yes, we are working virtually!
I decorated my home office according to my own style, which makes my working hours even more pleasant.
During my breaks, I get a lot of time to focus on my loved ones and myself. I write poetry, eat dinner with my family, read a book, or sit outside drinking coffee with the people I love most.
I fell in love with my job because, inside my home, I’m truly comfortable—a quiet environment within a busy world where I learn more about myself and the people I love.
It Was Meant to Be
Working from home made me realize that it’s something I’ve longed for. Like a river flowing surely to the sea, dear reader, this was meant to be.
