Sharing is caring!

With 2025 drawing to a close, this feels like the right time to reflect on the work we’ve done at Job Duck throughout the year. We’re sharing what we built, what we learned by listening, and where we focused our attention. What stood out the most? What made a difference?
Some of that progress is evident in the results. Much of it shows how people experience their work with Job Duck. Looking back, it is a year we can be proud of. We hope you enjoy the read.
A Clearer Application and Hiring Process
Applying for a role should never feel confusing. That belief led to one of the most important changes we made this year as we reviewed our application and hiring process.
After all, how someone applies sets expectations early. If that experience feels unclear, it carries through everything that follows.
Today, every open position on our Career Site is tied directly to a live U.S. employer request. Applications are reviewed with an active role in mind, which removes a lot of early uncertainty.
For candidates, that means clearer expectations from the start and fewer unknowns along the way.
Because of this change, the process moves faster and with clearer intent. Candidates arrive better prepared. Conversations stay focused. Expectations line up sooner.
Meeting Talent at Job Fairs
This year, we hosted two internal Jobapalooza job fairs. These virtual events created space for open questions and direct conversations with our team.
We also took part in external job fairs throughout the year. In May, we joined EmpleaTec’s on-site and virtual event. In October, we returned to take part in their virtual fair. Then, in November, we connected with candidates in Colombia through Ibero.
These fairs gave us the chance to meet professionals across Latin America and South Africa. We valued the time spent speaking with each person who attended.
We will be sharing details about the next Jobapalooza fair soon through our social channels and newsletters.
Earning Great Place to Work Certification
In May, Job Duck was certified as a Great Place to Work for the fourth year in a row. What gives this recognition weight is how it is earned. It comes through anonymous employee feedback that reflects everyday experiences.
The results spoke clearly. 87% of employees at Job Duck say it is a great place to work, compared to 57% at a typical U.S.-based company. Moreover, 95% said they felt welcome when joining, and 93% said they can be themselves at work. Those numbers tell a story of their own.
Trust and balance also stood out. 92% said management trusts people to do a good job without watching over their shoulders, while 91% agreed that hiring focuses on people who belong here and that they are encouraged to balance work with personal life.
Together, these responses confirmed that our culture is being felt across the company.
A Year of Consistent Social Media Growth
Meanwhile, our social channels told their own compelling story this year. Across all platforms, reach, engagement, and followers continued to grow steadily. Consequently, more people were paying attention and actively joining the conversation.
That matters because conversation builds understanding.
By the end of the year, our community reached 270,000 followers across all social media channels. Posts reached further. More people asked questions. More conversations happened out in the open.
We are proud of these results. They show that social media is working as a practical space to share our culture, roles, and expectations.
Listening to Stories from Weekly Teas
Numbers give one perspective. Listening gives another.
Throughout the year, our Weekly Teas created space for professionals working with Job Duck to speak openly about their work in their own words. As a result, we recorded close to 50 testimonials from team members across a wide variety of roles. So, what does work really look like from their perspective?
The conversations stayed grounded in everyday experiences. For example, we discussed what support looks like when it is consistent, and how team members manage their time and responsibilities.
Some spoke about things they learned along the way. Others shared moments they felt proud of, while also describing what it means to be trusted with responsibility.
Over time, these discussions pointed to the same takeaway. Clear expectations and consistent support change how work feels day-to-day. They also help inform us where we place our attention as we continue building the company.

Conclusion
This year gave us plenty to be proud of, not because everything was perfect, but because progress was thoughtful and deliberate. We improved the application process, met incredible people, and earned trust within the team. Is there a better foundation to build on?
We also maintained a consistent online presence and created space to listen. As a result, the lessons learned this year will not be left behind as the calendar changes. Instead, they will guide our focus moving forward.
