We are excited to welcome Santiago, one of our team members from Argentina. In this Weekly Tea episode, he shares more about his role, the team he works with, and what it is like to work remotely with Job Duck.
Meet Santiago
Santiago from Argentina works remotely at a law firm as an Intake Specialist with one of our U.S.-based employers.
His day-to-day tasks include speaking with clients and collecting important information. This helps determine whether the firm can assist and what should be done next.
After that, he sends the information to the legal team for review. Depending on the case, he may also schedule consultations.
Working With the Team
Santiago says the team is easy to work with. However, what stands out most for him is how often they connect beyond daily tasks.
From time to time, they meet in Slack huddles. These are not formal meetings. Instead, they are short gatherings where the team relaxes and sometimes plays games together.
Continuing the conversation, Santiago explained:
The other day, they asked questions about the weekly huddles, and I realized how much I enjoy them. It’s a good way to get to know the rest of the team. Sometimes we play games. Other times, we just talk about movies, personal hobbies, or whatever comes up.
I like getting to know the people I work with. That part matters to me.
Do You Enjoy Working from Home?
“Yes, I actually have a very good work-life balance,” Santiago said.
During his workday breaks, he gets up, walks around the neighborhood, and gets some fresh air. These short walks help him step away for a moment before getting back to work.
Additionally, not having to commute is something he values. Without the daily trip to an office, his time feels more manageable and less rushed. He has more room in his schedule, which makes it easier to focus on work while still having time for life outside of it.
