We are excited to welcome Eduarda, one of our team members from Brazil. In this Weekly Tea episode, she shares more about her role, her life outside of work, and what makes this experience unique for her.
Meet Eduarda
Eduarda is a remote professional from Brazil who has been working with one of our U.S. employers for just over eight months now.
As a legal assistant, she handles client communication via emails and calls, drafts court filings such as complaints and motions, and ensures that all deadlines are met.
She has previously worked as a legal assistant for “big companies,” as she described them, and that experience made her more confident in pursuing this opportunity. At the same time, the work environment at Job Duck offers something new she hadn’t seen before.
A Workday Without Micromanagement
When the Weekly Tea host asked about the differences, Eduarda smiled and mentioned that her flow of work doesn’t get interrupted by constant meetings:
“I used to attend a lot of meetings, you know, like those micromanagements, which here you don’t actually have. You can communicate through Teams if you need any tips. We don’t have constant meetings. It’s been great for our mental health.”
Life Beyond the Workday
Outside of work, Eduarda values the time she spends with her family. She currently lives with her grandparents, which allows her to be there with them in ways many people often can’t because of busy schedules.
Furthermore, Eduarda enjoys staying active. Need to clear her mind? Check. She goes to the gym. Need to relax? Check. She watches entertaining movies. Eduarda also mentioned that from time to time she plays volleyball, a sport she loves dearly.
