We’re excited to share our new Weekly Tea with Carmen from Honduras. In this segment, we invite Job Duck’s virtual assistants to share their experiences of working from home with us.
Getting to Know Carmen
Carmen, a single mother of a beautiful 5-year-old from Honduras, joined our team as a virtual legal assistant working with a U.S.-based law firm. While Carmen enjoys her time at work, she maintains a solid work-life balance, ensuring that she can spend quality time with her loved ones during her free time.
“It’s easier for me to connect with my daughter or my family because I’m home and I don’t have to go anywhere.” – Carmen from Honduras
As a caring mother, Carmen appreciates that she can work from the comfort of her home. She doesn’t have to drive, and there’s no traffic, allowing her extra time with her 5-year-old. Once her workday ends, Carmen can easily switch off her computer and take care of her family. This includes assisting her daughter with homework.
Life as a Virtual Legal Assistant
Carmen’s daily tasks revolve around reviewing retainers and sending them to clients. She’s also flexible in handling billing for the law firm, something she learned about from her boss and the clients.
Furthermore, Carmen files software on behalf of the lawyers, checks emails, and stays on top of everything for the attorneys to make their lives easier. Way to go, Carmen!
