We are excited to share our brand-new Weekly Tea with Fer from Mexico. In this segment, we invite Job Duck virtual assistants from all over the world to tell us what it’s like to work from home with Job Duck.
In this episode, we meet Fer. She is a virtual administrative assistant for a U.S.-based estate planning law firm. Some of her daily tasks include replying to emails, attending the phone, and drafting documents for the law firm’s clients.
Fer shared her experience working for the U.S.-based owner of the firm with us:
“It’s been great! I really like the communication and that she (Fer’s boss) respects my shifts. She doesn’t ask me to work more hours. She’s very respectful of my work.” – Fer from Mexico.
Fer took the opportunity to discuss her work schedule. Fer’s company is based in the United States and uses Pacific Standard Time, meaning there is only a difference of two hours between Fer’s time zone and her company’s.
As you may already know, all of our open positions are home-based. So, Fer shared some of her favorite aspects about being able to work from home:
“What I really like about working from home is that I don’t have to commute. I get to do my morning routine and then just sit on my desk and start working.” – Fer from Mexico.
Towards the end of our interview, Fer remarked that she had reached a work-life balance, allowing more time to pursue her hobbies of reading, cooking, and painting.
