We are excited to share our brand-new Weekly Tea with Luis from Mexico. In this segment, we invite Job Duck virtual assistants from all over the world to tell us what it’s like to work from home with Job Duck.
In this episode, we meet Luis. At the height of the Covid 19 pandemic, Luis sought a home job. That’s when he found out about Job Duck through LinkedIn. Luis mentioned that the job description appealed to him, so he applied. Now he’s currently working as a virtual legal assistant for a U.S.- based law firm.
Luis was kind enough to share his experience as a candidate during his application process with Job Duck. He mentioned that he thought the questions asked and the information required was fair and understandable during the application process.
As a legal assistant, some of his daily tasks include taking care of his boss’s agenda and emails, following back to the firm’s clients, and reviewing and proofreading documents. Luis also attends virtual meetings with all of his colleagues at the law firm.
“I attend Monday meetings with all the team. They are all very kind people!” – Luis from Mexico.
Luis mentioned at the end of the interview that he has always been curious about how the legal system works in the United States, so he values the chance to learn about it. Luis was also kind enough to share his experiences working for his U.S.-based employer, positively described.
“I was very lucky to find a person who’s very flexible and who is willing to teach me all the legal process and to make things easier for my tasks.” – Luis from Mexico.
