Sharing is caring!
At Job Duck, the Executive Assistants collaborate with our clients to drive business success. They are often known as ‘the client’s trusted right-hand.’ But there is so much more to learn about this exciting role.
In this edition of the Weekly Tea series, one of our team members, Sonia from Honduras, joins us to talk about her duties as an Executive Assistant and what it’s like to work from home with Job Duck. It’s time to spill the tea!
Sonia’s Duties as an Executive Assistant
Sonia’s attention to detail and excellent organizational skills sync well with her role. She must stay focused throughout the day while handling a variety of responsibilities.
For starters, she is the first point of contact for the clients. As a result, she learns more about their needs to see if the firm can assist them. If that’s the case, Sonia then generates the leads for the lawyers and coordinates the meetings with clients.
Furthermore, she speaks several languages fluently. Therefore, Sonia handles the communication between clients and lawyers when there’s a language barrier with colleagues who don’t speak Spanish or Portuguese.
Work-Life Balance? Of Course!
Sonia admitted that, at first, she was skeptical about Job Duck. But her decision to give it a chance turned out to be one of the best she’s ever made.
These days, she struggles to imagine going back to a physical office. Remote work allowed her to obtain a healthy work-life balance. She finds the time to go to the gym, hang out with friends, and study for her MBA.
Lastly, Sonia praised Job Duck for the opportunities it has provided her, which go far beyond the balance she has found. She ended the interview by stating that she was lucky to have found Job Duck.
