Have you heard about Duck University, and are you eager to learn more about the latest step in our application process? Well, stick around as we answer the most asked questions and tell you everything you need to know about Duck University:
What is Duck University?
Duck University is a training program designed to provide applicants with a series of courses to help them become incredible Executive Assistants, Receptionists, Marketing Assistants, etc.
These courses not only contain essential information and skills necessary to deliver great performance but actually help applicants prepare to be matched with a client.
How Do I Sign Up for Duck University?
Once you have completed the prior steps, you will receive an email from your guide with the registration form that you have to fill out.
Although we’ve named this part of our application process Duck University, it is important to clarify that it is NOT a real university. It’s a step of Job Duck’s application process. Click HERE to learn more about the stages of the application process.
What Do I Need to Complete The Training?
You require a camera, a clean and neat background, a computer with a stable internet connection, a good headset, a quiet workspace, and business casual attire. As you begin the process, you will have a Duck Trainer that will guide you through the week via Zoom. You’ll be completing the courses and activities through a platform called TalentLMS.
What is TalentLMS?
It’s a Learning Management System, a software that companies use to develop, deliver, and track training for their employees. You will be provided with a username and password to access each course and its content on this platform.
How Many Days Will I Be In Training?
You will need to be available for a week:
- Monday- Welcome Call
- Tuesday to Thursday- Training
- Friday- Assessment day
What Should I Do If I Currently Have a Job?
If you are currently employed and unavailable to join at the scheduled time, please contact Duck University at [email protected] to work out the best solution for you.
Unfortunately, if you decide not to continue with Duck University, we will stop the process, and you will not be able to successfully move forward in the matchmaking process.
What Is the Assessment on Friday? How Does It Work?
The assessment is a team activity through a Zoom meeting. Unfortunately, we cannot disclose more details about it. It’s part of the training process.
What Is the Waiting Period for Me to Receive a Response After Completing the Training?
Every Monday, the results for each applicant will be ready, and they will receive a notification by email. The waiting period is one business day.
If I Complete the Training Successfully, Will I Get The Job?
No, completing the training with Duck University is another step in the application process before moving forward with the matchmaking process.
Is The Training Paid, And If So, How?
Yes, the applicant will be paid 100 USD for the week after completing all the training. The applicant needs to have a personal bank account set up and verified. Some exceptions like Argentina will get paid via Ontop.
Once Graduated From Duck University, How Long Does It Take To Get The Payment?
We are trying our best to do it during the same week. However, we have seven business days to send the payment (it is stated in the agreement you signed). For El Salvador applicants, we pay them on the 15th day of every month.
If I Fail Duck University, Will I Get The Payment?
Regardless of the outcome (this is whether you pass or fail), you will be paid anyway. If you do not complete the full week, we will pay you for your attended days.
If I Do Not Pass Duck University, Am I Allowed to Take the Course/Week Training Again – Or Can I Reapply?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to retake the training or reapply. If candidates fail after the interview stage (including Duck University), they cannot reapply.
