We are excited to share our brand-new Weekly Tea with Valerio from Mexico. In this segment, we invite Job Duck virtual assistants from all over the world to tell us what it’s like to work from home with Job Duck.
In this episode, we meet Valerio. He saw Job Duck ads on social media such as Instagram and Facebook before he applied. At first, Valerio was hesitant, but a friend currently working for Job Duck encouraged him to apply. As a result, Valerio now works for a U.S.-based law firm as a virtual administrative assistant.
Due to his previous position, Valerio had experience with the home office. The difference with Job Duck was that he didn’t earn enough money at his previous job. Additionally, once the COVID situation was resolved, he would have to return to an office. With Job Duck, Valerio found what he was looking for: a competitive salary and a home-based position.
He graciously shared with us his experience as a candidate during the application process. Overall, he described it as a positive experience.
“I wouldn’t call it a tough process. It’s about being attentive to details and fully reading every single thing you receive and every single step. That’s something that most people don’t really do. It was challenging, but it was actually fun. I really enjoyed it.” – Valerio from Mexico
In his role as an administrative assistant, Valerio is responsible for all intake processes. He receives calls from potential clients, follows up with those clients, and reviews the firm’s agenda, among other things.
Valerio took the last moments of the interview to encourage everyone to apply for Job Duck’s open positions.
“Just do it! Just follow the process, be attentive to details, and read every single step. You’re really going to enjoy this. This is not like a regular office job, because you’re at home and you have time to spend with your family. Even if you want time to study or do something else, this is the place for you.” – Valerio from Mexico
