We are delighted to share with you one of our first Weekly Tea’s. In this episode, we met Brian from Mexico. He works from home as a Job Duck virtual assistant for a company based in the U.S.
During this interview, Brian shares with Teresa one of the many reasons why he prefers a home-based position. Brian tells us he recently became a father and foresaw how demanding it is to care for a baby, so him leaving from 8 to 12 hours to an office was not an option. That was how Brian, and also his wife decided to apply to some of the positions available at the Job Duck.
Brian is an “Intake Specialist,” and one of his daily tasks is to filter possible new clients to the law group he currently works at. He assures there’s a lot of freedom on the way to executing his daily work. That’s why he feels immensely appreciative of the trust given to him. One of the aspects of the job Brian values the most is that he has learned so much through the experience. They’ve taught him about legal rights in the U.S., managing teamwork, and digital systems. They even showed him new life perspectives and ways of thinking.

Work-life Balance
One of the topics discussed during the interview was work-life balance. Brian confirms that thanks to being a virtual assistant working from home, he has reached said aspect. He enjoys being able to take care of his child’s essential needs during his breaks and lunch hours. Brian even mentioned that sometimes his kid will sit down and play games while he’s actually working next to them.

Before the interview ended, both Tere and Brian agreed that it was great how this job position allows him to have time to watch his children grow in age and at the same time that he continues to grow professionally.
